When you use FundMi, we collect the following types of information: • Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and password when you register. • Profile Information: State, LGA, and any optional information you add to your profile. • Cause Submissions: Documents, descriptions, photos, and other content you submit. • Payment Information: We do not store card details. All payments are processed securely by Paystack. • Usage Data: How you interact with the platform pages visited, features used, time spent. • Device Information: IP address, browser type, and operating system for security purposes.

We use the information we collect to: • Create and manage your FundMi account • Process your Voting Power purchases and donations via Paystack • Verify cause submissions for authenticity • Send you notifications about voting rounds, account activity, and platform updates • Improve the platform and personalise your experience • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud • Communicate with you about support requests

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with: • Paystack: For processing payments. Paystack has its own Privacy Policy. • Cloudinary: For secure storage and delivery of uploaded documents and images. • Legal Authorities: If required by Nigerian law or a valid court order. • Service Providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate the platform, under strict confidentiality agreements. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

When your cause is approved and goes live, the following information becomes publicly visible: • Your cause title, description, and category • Your first name, last name, and state • Uploaded supporting documents (where applicable) Voting tallies and round results are also publicly visible. If you do not want certain information visible, contact us before submitting your cause.

Records of your VP purchases, voting history, and donation activity are stored securely on our servers. This data is used to ensure the integrity of voting rounds and prevent fraud. We do not share individual voting records with other users only aggregate vote totals per cause are public.

We take data security seriously. We use: • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit • Secure JWT-based authentication • Hashed passwords (never stored in plain text) • Restricted access to production databases However, no system is completely secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@fundmi.com.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., transaction records for financial compliance).

You have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your account and associated data • Opt out of non-essential communications To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@fundmi.com with the subject line "Data Request".

FundMi uses minimal cookies to maintain your login session and improve your experience. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some platform features may not work correctly without them.

FundMi is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
